I have put a 5 lug conversion from a 2001 ITR onto my EK. For some reason my caliper or calipers are somehow keeping presure against my rotors. The conversion came off of a LS Integra before I got it so I took the booster and master cylinder off of it when I got the conversion. I have been told that I have to have the Type-R master cylinder but they were working fine on the car they came off of. Can anybody tell me or guild me to info about this? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

against my rotors I have tried everything I know and can't figure out what it is. I have changed both front calipers twice and but a new master cylinder?

Where did you get your parts from?

Do you mean to say your having a hard time getting the caliper back onto the rotor? Explain a little further please.

exact same thing happened to me last time i changed my brakes. but my dumbass used some old *** brake fluid that was in my garage. it looked new and had never been opened. i guess it was too old and when i went to back out of my driveway to test the new brakes out, i pushed the pedal and they locked up. i had to open the m/c cap to drive it back up. i couldnt figure it out for like 2 days and i asked around and found out the fluid was bad. it could also be contaminated with oil or something else. if u take the m/c cap off and see any oil residue that could be your problem. so i drained the old fluid and added new fluid and my brakes have been working fine for like 7 months. im not an expert but i thought this could help seeing as it sounds just like my problem. good luck!

I changed the fluid to Factory Honda fluid. But they are not locked up they are just tight. The car will drive but it holds enough presure that lets say when I back out of a parking spot and push in the clutch it will stop itself without me having to push the brakes. And sometimes even when you go up a hill on the highway near my house I will ahve to shift to $th and sometimes even 3rd gear because the brakes are holding the car back. Does that explain it better sorry for the confusion.

Which is the right I got a 40/40 but I have been told I have to use the Type-R PV but its for ABS and the EK is not.

i would start with checking the tension on the E-brake cables. sounds like a overly tight cable. i have seen this quite a bit. non-dealer shops performing services and adjusting parking brakes too tightly casuing a bind...

My buddy works at Midus and they checked everything they could think of but its not just in the rear so I don't think it could be the E-brake? I'm not a pro though so I will recheck it though thanks. Anything else anyone can tell me? I only drove the car less then 100 miles with the calipers could the master being bad have messed them up again that soon they were getting pretty hot but nowhere near red or anything?

mmm y dont u retry installing it. maybe it the wrong cable.

adjust the push rod foe the brake booster, adjust the rod shorter bfor more travel.at the brake pedal.
