Default EK to type R?

ok guys heres the deal I've got a wrecked 2000 type R and a 97 civic hatch what do i need to put the type r engine in the civic?

Also can I just swap over all the type r suspension, sway bars, brakes, front and rear control arms, and everything else or do i need somthing special?

Thanks for all the help I think I need a Haspot kit and I don't think the sway bars will work let me know if this is wrong.

To put the engine in your car, you can use all the stock mounts from your D16Y7, but you will need the rear tranny bracket (T-Bracket) and the driver side block mount. You will need to wire up VTEC solenoid, oil pressure switch, knock sensor (not required if you run a chipped P28). You will need to convert to OBD1 and use either a chipped P30 ECU or chipped P28 ECU. You can swap over the brackets and front struts. The rear sway bar with swap over. Not too sure if the front LCAs will swap over. You will need CTR rear LCAs in order to use the ITR struts, because the ITR rear LCA will not fit.

Oh, you will need Civic Si rear LCAs and endlinks to mount the sway bar.

As for your suspension...you can use your stock rear LCA's if you get coil overs etc. As for the front you can swap over the whole undercarriage utilizing the steering rack and larger front sway bar. You will however will have to use your EK's upper control arms . As for the rear sway...if its a hatch...no go, if its a coupe or sedan the rear sway should work for you.
Oh using the ITR subframe, undercarriage, you will have to use the Integra Evap canister...I guess you could use the EK's, but the mounting tabs get bent up slightly so it was cleaner for me using the Integras.

whoa...ok lets revise this....i can help..i have a 98 civic...same deal and i have an R motor in my car...first of all...you have a 96-98 DX/CX model right now which is horrible...because those models have what we call a 3 wire iacv...and all other year civic's besides the 96-98 have 2 wire...so listen up. The 96-2000 civic utilize a 1 peice engine harness while all integras use a 2 peice harness..so you'll need to ethier buy a few parts or really modify your DX/CX one..i would just buy the following.

things you should buy before swap

1. 1996-1998 Honda Civic EX 5 speed harness. Once you buy this harness its practically plug and play...maybe have to extend a few things here and there because its for an SOHC but its worth it
2. You can retain all your stock mounts aside from the rear one. The rear one that bolts to the chassis will need to be swapped out in favor of a 1999-2000 Civic Si rear mount. you can get this at any autozone or you can buy one off of me or just buy an aftermarket kit from hasport and sport the bling bling like i did...trust me..its worth it
3. The integra suspension is a lil differnt. The LCA for both the front and the rear will not work. You will need CTR LCA or just a civic one off of your stock stuff. Personally i would just swap out all of the LCA's with your stock stuff and get an aftermarket sway bar with civic SI endlinks so you can use a sway bar. I have a Civic Si rear sway bar on my civic and it handles great.
4. You don't need to convert to obd1. Its easier but you don't have to. Try and souce ethier a 97 spec or 98 spec JDM ecu or a USDM 98 ITR ECU...or maybe your ITR is a 98 which would be golden in your case. Remember you need 2 o2 sensors and crank fluctuation sensor on the obd2 ecu's or 96-00. If you were to convert to obd1 it wouldn't look for those goodies

i hope i helped out....lmk if you need any more stuff...i know my EK in an out..haha

can I use the stock type r rear trailing arms atleast?

Also what is involved in getting the five lug with brakes on the front

this is for a H1 HC car so its not for the street if that matters

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm probally going to throw these in the back when I do the conversion.

Yes, swap the whole trailing arms. For the front brakes, use the whole knuckle.

The rear LCA's are already drilled for the rear sway. You just need 99-00 SI endlinks... The ecu with your motor is going to be OBDIIB... You said it was a 2000ITR right... Re pinning for the 2 wire iacv is really easy.. Look up Katman here and he has all of the diagrams....

Can the type r be modified to work with the swap I'm worried about the immoblizer.

What do I need to do to the fuel system?
