Ok, there's a rattle noise in my brother's 99 Civic Hatch and i have traced it down to the shift linkage. Weird eh? Hell yea. Anyone ever have this problem? I dont know how to fix it, and it's really annoying, you can hear it even when he's around the corner.."RRRRRRRRRRR"...it's not touching anything, it's not the heat sheild, it's the linkage...seems like it's loose..too loose...so i decided to buy him a short throw shifter and a GS-R shift ****. We put it in yesterday and DAMMIT it's still the same!! WTF!? Does anyone know a solution to this?

did you change the bushings? if not, do it.

yea..the new bushings came with the short shifter...otherwise should i get oem bushings?

eh frostt3ch..it's annoying as **** huh...damn...yea mine i loud in almost all gears..i can't even put 5th gear in at 30mph or it rattles like there's no tomorrow...
