EK Secondary O2 sensor wire signals needed (EK shop manual?)
Folks, I'm hoping that there's someone here with an EK shop manual and they can provide the signal designations for the 4 wire secondary O2 sensor.
By way of background. I'm completing a LS/Vtec engine swap into an EF that's converted to OBDI. I'm so far past budget that I can't afford the $100 for a new generic PRIMARY O2 sensor. So I scrounged around a salvage yard and scared up a SECONDARY O2 sensor from an wrecked EK. THAT'S why I've posted this here in the EK forum.
My understanding of newer emissions systems, like that of the EK, is that there are 2 O2 sensors and the ECU reads both to see if one has failed. Therefore, I believe I can use a secondary sensor as a primary sensor. Here's the deal. My OBDI ECU runs 4 wires to a O2 sensor as follows:
12V switched source
12V O2 heater
O2 sensor signal
O2 sensor ground
The EK secondary O2 sensor I have has 4 wires, 2 black, 1 green, 1 white. Can somehere tell me what signals are on which of those wires? I'll have to cut the plug of the O2 sensor and directly wire the sensor to my ECU.
Thanks, Dave K.

this should help
run the power wire off the distributor black/yellow wire
run a ground off the head temp sensor grn/black
then run the signal and heater wires to the ecu

Re: EK Secondary O2 sensor wire signals needed (integrated civic)
With all due respect I don't think you understand the issue. I'm well aware of the ECU signals. What I don't know is the identification of the 4 wires on the O2 sensor that I have. E.g., the white wire. Is that the 12v switched or might that be the 02 signal? E.g., the green wire. Is that the o2 heater? So I need someone with a SHOP manual to look in the Fuel & Emissions section, look at the plug for the secondary O2 sensor and tell me what signal is on each of those 4 wires.
Thanks for trying to help though.
