Default ek seats into eg

Ok just installed ek front seats into my 93 civic. I was able to line up 3 bolts which is fine. But I thought ek seats on the passenger side were suppose slide forward when reclining it forward? Or am I wrong? Cause I coukd have sworn when I had my si I was able to just hit the switch to recline the seat forward n I can then watch it slide forward and let the person in the back in n out without any further movement.

could mine be broken or just some seats werent equipped that way?

Nope. You are mistaken. It does not slide forward.

Unless it was an option or I don't know how to work the seats after 8 years, neither of my two 6th gens have/had them. Now I'll have to go check when I leave this morning.

Strike all of my replies. My hatch has Del Sol seats in them, which I forgot about and the coupe hasn't had stock seats in it for a wile so I cannot remember.

Dude just swap the inner rail. 3 bolts holding your seat in isn't safe.

Swapping rails takes minutes. I hate when people become lazy and take shortcuts, or say "good enough"

**perhaps you got 4-door sedan seats. these seats will not move forward when you pull the recline lever since they do not need to. Sedan seats did not move forward because the car came with 4-doors, and did not need that function.**

Makes sense but the car I saw was a coupe. So one bolt is gonna make a difference?

Dc integras bolt up to 93 civic coupe without having to swap rails? Or will it be the same as the ek seats I have now? Do they sit lower or about the same as ek seats in an eg?

Correct, plus integra seats offer slightly more bolster. They sit a little lower than EK seats

Sry but what do you mean by bolster? And good every inch counts cause after I installed the eks my head grazes the roof so ill just invest in some integra seats. Thanks for the replies guys

Integra seats are much better than ek and eg. By bolster he means the pads that support your back and the ones that hold your *** in.

Well got my integra seats in today n love them. Passenger seat has the rear walk in feature. I sit about an 1" prolly lil more lower then with the eks. N they are mint no tears nothing missing and all four bolts were used.

Lot of people helped me with this exact question.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/seats-acura-honda-slide-forward-3121146/

Good like finding them though.
http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=3121398

Took me over five months. I even made a video and asked people to confirm the seats slide from the back seat. Dumb *** people still got it wrong. I drove 2+ hours one way just to get there to find the seats did not slide forward from the back seat. grrrrr.

So say you have some integra seats, and they possibly came from a 4 door. Does that mean there's no walk in? Cause they don't slide forward when pulling the recline lever. But there's the little tab/lever on the back of the seat (assuming it's passenger side) to use while sitting in the back and all that does is recline the seat forward. Doesn't slide

If you click on my thread above lots of people chimed in on the correct seats that slide forward.

After fives months of searching for craigslist ads and WTB on honda-tech I finally found a set of GSR front and rear seats out of 2 door coupe. The passenger side slides forward.

Yea I think 4 dr seats do nit have the walk in feature. I guess the ek seats i had either mechanism broken etc. And I didnt think 92-95 civics doesn't matter trim came with the feature unless it Canadian.

Anyways my new integra seats get the job done so im satisfied n they match my interior a lot better.
