Default EK owners with Del Sol Seats...NEED HELP!!

I just swapped out my rails from my 2000 Cx hatch onto 93' Del Sol seats. (That was a hell of an experience in itself.) Anyway, I tried to put them back into the car and the holes don't match up anymore. Only 3 out of the 4 holes line up. I want answers from people with experience...Can you tell me how you got your seats in/got the holes to line up!?

Thanks in advance...I NEED TO GET TO WORK IN THE MORNING!!

usually you should only have to swap the inner rail and everything should line up perfectly.

ok, so that may be what i did wrong. I swapped both rails: inner and outer. Can anyone else verify this please?

Hold on! That wouldn't work because the outer rails are not similar. The Del Sol is: front/bent and back/flat. The EK rail is front/bent and back/bent. You'd have to swap both rails. Correct!?

Ok, it's like this. I can only get 3 holes lines up. Which ever one is left over is the one that won't line up. I decided to loosen the bolts on the outer rail and wiggle it around to see if I can get all the holes to line up and then tighten them once they all line up. HOW DID YOU DO IT...HELP! (overly dramatic)

basically, it depends on which order i screw them in. Right now, the front outside/inside and back inside are screwed in. With this configuration you can't even see the rear outside hole.

When I screwed them in in a different order the rear inside hole was visible half way.

what do you mean by "use a screwdriver"? Are you suggesting that i stick a screwdriver in the hole to hold the position and then try to put screws into the other holes? Please, clarify. Thanks.

when i did mine they all lined up, but it wasnt deadon perfect. one was a little bit off, so i just used a little force to make the rails line up enough for the bolt to go in.

ic...i tried that force thing, but it's not helping. Were all of your bolts tightened when you tried to put them in the car, or did you leave them loose?

I wanted to say thanks for all the replys and keep em' coming. I'm going to go at it again tomrrow and use your suggestions.

I hear you. That's the problem I can't get all 4 bolts in at once. I'm going to try the method I suggested further up in the forum and hope that it works. If not I'll take pics and go from there. Thank you for your help, if you have any other suggestions let em' fly.

Finally, I got the seats in. The screwdriver trick actually works!! (Thanks <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DFW_EK &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well if u still can see half of it...use a screwdriver or something to line it up ..make sure the other 3 are loose</TD></TR></TABLE>)

I'll take a couple pics tomorrow. I love these seats, although, getting used to how low they sit takes awhile. The first PA/NJ autox event for the winter series is this saturday, so I'll really get to test them out then. Thanks to all the people who helped me make this extremely positive swap!!

Maybe people on the EK topic can help you out. I believe this is an EG topic.

it should all match up... left side of seat replace the whole slider everything, passenger side same thing...

the sliders should use 2 of the 3 bolts from the previous slider. the sliders should fit back into original position. make sure that the sliders are lined up with each other..

I've had them in 2 dif. EK's. All I did was swap the rails and sliders. I noticed that once I had them in I had to adjust them with the slider. Put 2 screws on it the front then pull the slider up and then adjust them. See if it lines up then. I took me about an hour to get them both in start to finish. Hope this helps
