ek oem side skirts discontinued parts?? help

ek oem side skirts discontinued parts?? help
So im doing body work on my 3rd ej1, almost to the point where i can get it painted. Went to the junkyard and only found the driver side side skirt off a 96 civic 2 door, but now i need the passenger side No local junkyards have it so i went tot he dealership and the ******* sitting behind the counter didnt even look it up he just said "NAH WE DONT HAVE IT, ITS DISCONTINUED, GOOD LUCK FINDING IT ON EBAY".
are they really discontinued? where could i get a passenger side oem skirt??? i wanna get the skirt so i can get it painted......ahhhh....so frustrated

They are standard equipment on all 1996 to 2000 Civic coupes and hatches (besides the 1999 to 2000 Si coupe). They're as standard as the valve cover, axles, taillights or gauge cluster.
I'd think it'd be unlikely that they would discontinue it so early.
I'd suggest you talk to another parts employee. Make sure they look it up, not just assume.
More than likely the part is not kept in stock, but it's available through another dealership or the closest warehouse.
I would also suggest www.car-part.com
And yes, coupe and hatch sideskirts are exactly the same.
Mine are mostly nice guys. A few I'd rather not deal with, but generally it doesn't have anything to do with them being impolite.

At least one of those links in that thread will have part numbers. You should not NEED a part number in order to order any part though.
Oh, and discontinued parts are listed on most of these sites too. Just finding the part number MEANS NOTHING regarding availability.

So the guy at this one dealership was just a jerk, he had no clue what he was talking about, i talked to one of my friends whose friend works at another honda dealership and he said he can get it for me. only like 70 bux and the part number is 71800-s03-000
