EK Headlight Harness?
ok 2 days ago my drivers side headlight went out, still had highbeams, still had the turn signal/parkinglamp. just didnt have the lowbeam. so i got some PIAA Hyper White bulbs... but still same side no lows. went to autozone got the cheapshit, no lows. took the passengerside light plugged it into the drivers harness, no lows.. put it back into the passenger side its workin fine. so my question to HT, fuse or harness or something else? these are stock headlights btw, if it is the harness how much of a pain in the *** is to get a new harness in there and where can i get 1 cheap. THANKS H-T

I'd say it's the harness, but it wouldn't hurt to start checkin fuses if you haven't already.
But if it's the harness, I'm guessing it will be easy to repair once you find the problem.

the harness is connected to all the wires in front of the engine. find someone that's willing to just sell the harness.

DON"T GET A HARNESS JUST YET!!!! lol...
I had the exact same problem....pull the plug off of the bulb and inspect it. Guaranteed it is either burnt or the femal ends are pulling apart.
Just clean the contact surfaces and press them closer together....see if that works

you could do that too....
see, for me....my pass low beam would every once in awhile go out...and for about 3 months, I would have to turn my headlights on, pop the hood, and wiggle the plug and the light would come on- until I cleaned the contacts. In my case, the previous owner had LOST the rubber seal to protect the back of the bulb and the plug from the elements....
and the "gunk" you are talking about, is most likely the protective lube from the factory, that they use on engine bay connections....especially on fuse box and un used relays
but do what CHad said first and check the fuse. ALWAYS CHECK FUSES FIRST!
