my friend bought a bone-stock purple 96 hatch a few months back, and it had a sunroof in it. I believe the owner before him, had it installed at the dealer but its hearsay. I am sure it's an option though.

If it was a black EK and it was for sale then you saw mine. Yes, it has a sunroof, no I didn't put it in. It was put in prior to my owning the car, but it is a Webasto (they make a lot of OEM sunroofs) and from what I can tell, they did a good job. I dunno, I guess its nice to at least have one power option.

The dealer would probably have just subcontracted it out to some shop to get the sunroof installed. I don't think it's the typical option, say like AC or power steering.

It was offered by the dealer when I bought mine in 12/05. I passed on it due to weight and the fact that I am kinda tall and didnt want to lose any headroom.

exactly.. thats what my job is subcontracted out dealership work.. crap like billet grills and stuff the dealership offers it as an option but has private companies come out to the delarship and install it.

Probably anywhere between 500-700 depending on size of the sunroof and install costs
