EK CX A/C Install?
Hi Guys,
Ya I did search for a while and all I could find was a write up on how-to install AC into an EG. Has anyone here done it on an EK? Is there a link for info on how-to do it?
I have a '96 hatch, so far I figure I need: condenser, lines, compressor, evaporator, harness, switch, drier, nuts & bolts.
Anything else? Are there differences from CX to Si AC systems? Or differences from 96-00?
Any info would be greatly appreciated

I've added ac to an ek. I couldn't find any good write-ups for the ek when I did mine. The only things that you left out are the relays, and a little thing called an "ac diode" that goes in the underhood fuse panel.

It really wasn't that bad. I sourced most of my parts from one donor car. I ran into problems that ended up being a bad climate control unit, and that ac diode took quite a bit of searching to figure out. I think 4-5 hrs if things had gone smoothly. I used my factory service manual, and a friends civic for reference.
