Default EK 96-98 Fr Lip Spoiler install question

I just got my front lip spoiler in the mail today and was wondering what all these little bolts are for. Well, obviously they're to attach the lip to the car, but they come with these weird looking brackets for each bolt:

Each bracket is stamped with a big "F" on one side:

My question is, do the brackets fit like this:

Or like this:

Edit: Forgot to mention that the lip is sitting on my carpet bottom side down, top side up. Just to eliminate any confusion

I got the same one, those metal silver clips attach to the bumper. the lip will then screw into that. take a look under the bumper and you will see, it is a no brainer. Good luck

Sweet! Thanks, I just did it. It wasn't obvious until I looked at the bottom of the car. It's already pre-drilled & slotted for those brackets. I just slipped the brackets onto the car and screwed the lip into them. Took me about 5 mins, literally! Thanks again!

I think it looks pretty good. It kinda completes the bottom part of the front bumper cover...

Edit: Ok this should work...

Curbs ahahahah dont paint it and dont worry about it. Mine is beat from daily driving but unless you get real close it still looks good. If your worried about looks buy a 2nd one and put it on for shows etc....

F stands for Front.....

Don't paint the lip or sides skirts

especially on a black car.

[ECHO]Yes, painting the front lip means patinting all the side skirts and rear lip too - do you have a rear lip? I think the black looks better IMO, but to each his own I guess.[/ECHO]
