Re: EJ8/EM 5 lug conversion (darkknightwong)
no problems.. just make sure you get every single bolt or else acura will rip your ******* apart. its like 5 bucks or more a bolt.
since you have an Si, the 5 lug will almost cost you nothing. for example, say you get the 5 lug for 1500+ with wheels.
the LCA's wont fit on the Si, you use your stock ones. since the LCA doesnt fit, the spring/shock combo wont fit and neither will the ITR sway bars if you dont get a kit for them. so if you dont want them, sell them for like 300+
and now you dont need your si rims.. sell those for like 400 or what not.
and your stock Si disk brakes.. people want to do 4 disc conversions.. sell that for like 300 or so.
so 1500 - 300 - 400 - 300 = 500 bucks for nice 5 lug rims.. bigger brakes.. i'd say its worth it. hehe.
the brakes are great, i still need to slap the proportioning valve on so i'm not really getting the full affect right now. but since you have the Si 4 wheel disc proportioning valve, yours should be easier to do.
anyways, heres a picture of my car.. i hate showing it often, but i'll just post one

Jonas,
Sweet
Thanks for the info.
So I can just use the 99 SI LCA?? Is that for the front and the rear???
Will the front swap bar from the 99 SI still work?? or will I need to use the Type R Stuff??
You got one sweet looking ride?? Do you have anymore pics???
Thanks

Re: EJ8/EM 5 lug conversion (darkknightwong)
thanks adam, you need to come out to one of the seattleimport meets
darkknightwong, i'm pretty sure you can use the 99 Si LCA, for my hatch i used my stock LCA's because the ITR ones were too long. the front sway bar from the 99 Si should still work if you dont swap the LCA out.
but if you do need the ITR LCA, it should come with the 5 lug conversion.
ok, and one more pic..thats all!

You can use you Si front and rear lcas. All you have to change are the front knuckles, and the rear trailing arms from the type-r.
Jonas are going to the dyno day at ISA Saturday.
