EJ1 Build Thread
Well, let me start off by saying that any Comments, Questions, Praise or Good Jobs are welcomed!.
I purchased this car on January 1st of this year. It had a D16Y7 in it when i bought it, really didn't like what it had so i decided to go in the GSR direction. Began the pull and clean up just after the weather got a little bit warmer!
I just pulled it over across from my house and drained all of the fluids and began to pull the little things from it.
So just to make things a little bit easier, I went ahead and pulled most of the front end.
Later on in the day, me and my buddy got it out and SOLD it that after noon!
Well, it's empty for a little while, im going to worry about the engine later on. My main focus for awhile is really cleaning up the interior and giving it a somewhat JDM interior, and getting all of the outside finished and painted.
After a few days wait, I proceded to pull the interior panels/seats/carpet/and etc.. just to find out how dirty it really was!
After going through the car and degreasing and scrubbing the interior floor pans and interior metal, it was pressure washed out and I placed a small fan inside the car to help with the drying proscess.
Just a close up of the drying proscess!
So the next day after everything had dried, I began to scuff the interior with 120 grit sand paper. Just to give the primer something to stick to. after blowing out all the dust and etc... it was time for primer.
After primer, we painted to front floor pan and then later painted the rear floor pan. Not pictured but we also did the rest of the interior metal except for the doors. The trunk was primered and then we used spray undercoating to seal up the trunk and just make it more resistant to rust!
Now, I still need to get some more pics up. But as of today we have the trunk area carpet re-installed and the new Strut tower bar installed. Instead of buying new carpet that cost an arm and a leg I went to the local junk yard and picked up some interior pieces. I pulled the carpet out of the car, as well as a new de-frost switch and the little cover next to it. We pulled out the rear window speaker carpet and re-dyed it black and then re-installed it. As soon as possible i'll get more pics!

Does anyone know where to get a replacement headliner for a Sunroof car? the one that i have is all messed up and torn. and also to swap out the motor on the sunroof, does the entire sunroof have to be pulled?

Re: EJ1 Build Thread
UPDATE!
As of today, I have the new headliner in and the rest of the interior panels in as well as my new carpet!. I converted all the interior from grey to black, except for the dash and a few other little pieces. It looks really good. Last night i bought some ITR style seats as well as a newer steering wheel/shift boot and JDM Center console! Will post pics asap!

Re: EJ1 Build Thread
The best was the Dupli-Color. its a little expensive, but it worked really well. i Believe it was the sandable primer

This is the headliner after I finished it. I think that they grey outline and sunvisors set it off. Makes if look really good.

Re: EJ1 Build Thread
Nice build but you should PM a mod to move it, its in the wrong section. It should be in appereance build threads, thats where the build threads go.
