Default EG w/B18c1 Stock Inate Manifold: Option for Air Intake!! Help

Specs:
92 DX
97 B18c1, all stock

So when i did the swap, i bought a GSR stock air intake box and arm. Well after installing the motor, i tried installed the airbox and arm and its not anywhere near a direct fit.

SO...my question is which air intake can i buy, OEm or aftermarket that will install properly, look clean and function properly. Right now i just have the Gsr arm on with the Filter, and its making my bay look like ****!

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure the stock eg box with the integra tubing.

If you want an aftermarket intake just get a gsr one, and make sure its a gsr one if your using the gsr intake manifold

i tried that...the diameter of the airbox outlet is smaller compared to the inlet of the gsr intake arm.

Any other solutions out there?? Anyone with this actual experience?

Try getting the Ls intake tube with civic air box.

Companies like aem make intakes just for gsr swapped cars.
may be others.

or you could always buy a different intake manifold.

I WAS THINKING SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT...WOULDNT THERE STILL BE AN ISSUE WITH THE THROTTLE BODY BEING LOWER THAN NORMAL SHORT RUNNER MANIFOLDS?

Well then modify a integra/civic stock intake, or again buy a skunk2 or something intake manifold, and use a stock intake if you please.

I have an eg with a gsr swap, and I wen't with a cai, (used aem short ram twice in previous swaps) and this is by far better. (hot weather doesn't bother it like a short ram would) Also if it is done right, and don't floor the car through a puddle you don't have to worry about hydro-locking.

I got the fujita cai for 94-01 gsr and it worked with slight modifications =]

Goodluck!

http://www.f5air.com/ You may want to contact them to double check, in the past I don't believe they were, but they might be now. Oddly enough when you go to the testimonials link everyone on there is from Cali lol. Good luck, I am glad to live in the central us thats for sure. You could always go w/ Injen Cai, I know they are carb legal and it is the same design as Fujita, due to a couple of guys who left Injen and created Fujita.

I don't have a great picture of mine, but here's what I have:

I used an LS arm, cut off to the correct length at one of the bends, and my 00 EX airbox with a K&N dropin. Looks OE and works great.

b18c5 doesnt use the same IM as the gsr so i think you are just seeing a red valve cover.

OP, AEM short ram for a gsr will work and is CARB legal. but isnt your engine swap illegal in CA anyways? you are using an engine from a different make and model. Or do they let you slide since honda/acura is essentially the same company?

yep, gsr with red valve cover. Painted it myself. I posted the pic because you can see the Civic airbox and kinda part of the LS arm in there. I need a better pic though, because these threads come up all the time.

I don't live in CA, but I've seen a lot of threads about it. Apparently, you can get swaps BAR'd as long as all emissions equipment is intact and working correctly and the engine is newer than the car.

And yes, an AEM short ram would work fine too.

**** that Ek bay looks clean. Yeah i live in Cali, as above poster stated...you can get bar'd as long as motor is a newer than the year of the car, and ALL emission are there. Im having some wiring issues with my Purge Coltrol Soleniod right now,so i gotta fix all that before Bar'ing. Thanks for all the input guys! Cheers!
