EG springs on an EK??

EG springs on an EK??
I may need to put the OEM 92 VX shocks/springs on a 00 EX coupe. I know it will fit, but is it a bad idea or particularly unsafe?

the spring rates for a vx absolutely blow for the 2000 lb car, and installing it onto the 00 EX coupe (weighing about 2400 lbs) would also suck.
If you must install on the EX, I would refrain from driving at high speeds and take corners a lot slower than you normally would.
