EG Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood Fitment
I'm having some issues with the fitment of my hood.
There's a little gap in the front where it closes and it seems lower on the left side than the right.
How do I adjust this?

^ He's right. I got Carbon fiber fenders on my car and the fitment is ****. Best thing to do is to get it to fit as good as possible and leave it be. As long as it doesn't fly off when your driving then don't worry to much about it.

glad my seibon oem hood fit like butter on my ek... must be hit or miss. if its not marked seibon then its not a seibon and someone tried to sell it as one. i know some of these poorly made carbon products will not fit rite. you have the rubber stoppers on the front rad support you can adjust these by turning them in and out. u will need to set these so ur hood will have tension it so it will pop when u hit the latch in the car. this could solve why one sides sitting higher in the front then the other. goodluck

It is rare that you get a large manufacturer hood that will fit well. They have them made by highly un-qualified personel, and the rarely re-make the molds to ensure the parts aren't warping in the mold. Furthermore, they pop the parts out so fast that most of the cure process is done with the parts out of the molds. You just have to adjust it till it fits as well as it can. GL

It's a real Seibon hood.
The fitment isn't terrible, but it's not perfect. I did try adjusting some of the rubber, and that seemed to help.
It just doesn't fit like OEM.

Best thing for adjusting hoods is using washers on the bolts that hold the hood to the hinges, this way you can sort of fine tune your fitment one washer at a time until you get the fitment you want.
The same applies for fenders, trunks, etc. Use washers and you can make anything fit like OEM. (As long as its not complete **** to begin with.)

Re: EG Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood Fitment
At Composites Fab we made hoods that fit like OEM. LITERALLY. It all comes down to making the molds correctly. If the molds are made with care, they will make quality parts. If your hood doesn't fit, then you may want to look for a new hood. You can also adjust the hell out of every panel your car to make it look better.
