hi, i'm a bit stuck, my cel light is on and when warm my engine won't idle, also smells as if its running rich. I jumped the diagonstic wires and the cel light stayed on solid. I've used the diagnostics before and it has flashed a code so it seems really odd. The problem has come up since not starting the engine for around a month if that helps. I have a spare p06 ecm, so i plugged that in instead to see if it was an ecm fault, same problem tho.
If anyone might be able to point me in the right direction that would be so helpful

check the plugs
the ignitor in the distributer seem to get hot and satll the car after it gets warm happened to me before. when it was warm the car would not start but if i left it over night it would start then die after it got warm..

i don't think thats the problem, i can start the engine from hot just won't idle
