Default eg civic lights fuses

is there a ground somewhere underneath the dash for the cluster lights? i keep blowing the 10a for the tails and cluster and can't find out whats going on.. i've got the ground on by the relay on and the ground by the driver door on and the ground inbetween the back tails.. having problems my cluster lights don't work and when i mess around with it i keep blowing the 10a fuses.. i know there is one wire coming off the section that you attach the cluster too and its a black wire with grey stripes down it, but i has one of those metra female quick slides on it? does that attach somewhere underneath the dash? to keep the cluster grounded? hazards work, turn signals work, tail lights work, but cluster doesn't.. are there any wires that run to the back of the car that come back up to the front along the driverside portion of the wiring? as i'm putting an obd1 setup into a ed civic and converting the tails at the moment and its bugging the hell out of me, i've got diagrams but i'm not an electrician so i might be hooking something up backwards? i'll get pics of what i got going on if anyone wants to help

A bad ground won't blow a fuse. There's a short in the circuit. Unplug the cluster/climate control/dimmer switch, taillights, or parking lights. Which one prevents the fuse from blowing?

its not blowing at the moment, i grounded out the black wire.. i swapped out the matsuba fuse block for another one i had in the garage because it was clicking? now it doesn't click at all, and this is what is happening when i turn my key to on my srs light is lit up, which i'm not using or have installed.. also when i turn on the lights, both turn signals light up on the cluster and stay lit.. turn signals and hazards don't work anymore.. not with the lights on or lights off.. i think i'm blowing all my switches?

i would imagine its the tail lights or the dimmer switch.. i don't have brake lights hooked up yet and no cc at all..

whats weird is one day i got the tail lights on, then tried for turn signals, when the turn signals worked the tail lights didn't and when i got them both working at the same time it was popping the fuses
