EG-B18C1 eager to hit 200+ hp?!?
I currently have an EG w/B18c1 and im spruced up to modify the car. My first goal with her is to push 200-210 hp going w/FI. Im going ALL-Motor, its running stock right now btw. What mods/parts/bolt-ons do i need to be pushing those hp? I appreciate the responses and answers it will definitely help me eat V8's.

Re: EG-B18C1 eager to hit 200+ hp?!? (V8-eater)
To generate that amount of power don't use a vtec controller or a chip, use something like Hondata or Neptune. The results will amaze you. If you want to save money just boost, you can get over 200whp with a few pounds of boost on a t3/t4. If not, the only affordable (AKA effcient in my book) route is to slap a B20 bottom end down under or sell your b18c and get an H22 (200HP stock ).

its ******* vtec, this is the type of person you DONT listen to.
if u wanna make a v8 eater YOU NEED BOOST there is no way any decent running street driven n/a civic will run with a decently built v8 ( i know there are drag civics out there that can) and in reality any v8 that wants to beat you will and in doing that spend 1/4 of the money and 20 times as much in gas

Cams, ITB's, Very high compression pistons, and a port job should have you well in the 200WHP+ range with some kind of management and TUNED.

Very expensive. Even a cheese Greddy kit will net you 200whp for less.

its not that hard to eat v8's.... i got a GSR with a DCsport 4-1 header, intake, 2 1/4 exhaust, gutted cat, with a weight reduction, non-lsd tranny and skunk 2 stage 1 cams.... and a newer vet pulled my by a fender... and im running in a si and there were 2 200 pound guys in the car (me and my boss)... but i would say get a badass intake (injen, AEM.. etc...) 4-1 header, test pipe, 2 1/4-2 1/2 exhaust, a good set of cams, cam gears, pulley kit of ur choice, fuel pressure regulator, lightened flywheel, good clutch, lsd, pistons, not too fond of it, but the skunk 2 intake manifold, throttle body, and if u have connected ur AC and PS take that off... and if u wanna spend the money, get the head ported and polished

Re: (vc)
i think that vet was on cruise control, lets be real people. it will requre higher comp, a nice header ( not dc sports)and cams, like a m22 for example, valvetrain, and a good tune (not vafc) from a well known tuner who has all motor experience, or a turbo kit, on stock motor, and shoot for around 300whp, with a good tune
200 wheel all motor, still get beat by alot of v8s
300 wheel stock motor, turbo, beat alot of v8s, both will cost about the same price to build

Re: (fasthatchb18c1)
take your GSR motor, put a LS crank in it (longer stroke). add higher compression pistons, Skunk2 stage 2 cams and valvetrain, nice port and polish, I/H/E, AEBS Intake manifold and throttle body, good clutch and flywheel and LSD, MSD Ignition, fuel pump, fuel injectors, fuel rail (AEM), fuel pressure regulator (AEM), fuel management (Hondata, Neptune). If you want more go with BOOST!

Re: (JDM b18 Hatch)
Check the link for the hatch for sale in my sig and see my b18c1 mods. I was beating srt-4's with work done and I was untuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also beat 13.5 sec cars. Plus for fun I was gonna spray it. Again I was fully built untuned, cams at 0, to make it run decent I had to bump the fuel pressure up to 60+ psi and any less and it wouldn't even rev out. Still felt like it struggled in the upper rpm's though. I know I was a dumbass for driving it and racing it untuned. Damn I miss my hatch.
All motor cost alot of money done right.

Re: (vc)
One thing nobody has mentioned is the....Supercharger?? If you want bout 200 to the wheels. At 7/8lbs of boost, which aint **** on a GSR, at least a 50%HP gain, Thats at least 204 to the wheels. With some tuning, other misc. bolt ons people have mentioned, and more boost, 9/10 maybe, good power could be made.
And its throughout your entire powerband, not only when it spools. Daily driving supercharged cars is a blast. The the turbo im building is for the drags
jsut my .02

Re: (vc)
We only have a header not headerS
I say sell the gsr swap and put a H deuce deuce in the Eg. Or just do simple log manifold build with a SC61 lmfao 300hp easily achieveable.
