Default Ecu question

I just bought a 96 b18, and I noticed that b18 ecu works on my car (d16y7), with a idle problem. Does that mean that the P2E ecu would work on the (b18b). Let me know?

What kind of B18 is it? I wouldn't try it regardless of whether it would "work" or not. If the engineers would have wanted a P2E with the B18, I am sure that they would have if it would have worked better.

Is an LS engine (b18b), and I received then manual p75, but the tranny is auto. And I know how hard it is to change things, specially when we're talking about engines. People give you a hard time, so, until I get the manual tranny, I was looking to see if I can use the p2e for now.
