the gsr is a jdm and the solenoid only has one plug the vtec one...the ecu is looking for the pressure switch...is this preventing vtec from kicking in?
also when i check A4 pin witha voltmeter it is constantly powered? is this correct?
will vtec kick with out the pressure switch?

if the ecu is looking for the vtec pressure switch and you don't have one get another vtec solinoid that does, some JDM B series vtec engines do not have a vtec pressure switch and the corresponding ECU doesn't look for it.

cool tanks for that... do i need to buy the ex harness or will running the wires work.?

if you have a vtec harness already then the plug should be there, but if not just go to the junkyard and cut off a plug and wire it straight to the ecu
