ecu chipping/socketing questions (sohc)
search no help!
i've searched long and hard, hopefully someone can prove me wrong... anyway, i haven't seen too much useful info on chipped sohc ecu's... does anybody provide the service to both sohc vtec's and sohc non-vtec's? are there "official" programs (skunk, mugen, etc.) for sohc's?
reason being, i want to run two different motors with one ecu. i would ideally like to have a socketed p06/p28 for both my d15b7 and my d15b7 mini-me... damn, dont know if this is even possible but i know somebody can help me out thanks in advance
EDIT: look down

you can use any of the programs on a SOHC, Skunk2 seems to be the best overall program out there for swaps, but I'm not sure about mini-me's. Honestly based on the displacment and VTEC avalable the stock program in the P28 should work perfectly.
as far as running a Non-VTEC engine and a VTEC engine off the same ECU... it depends on how you're going to do VTEC. If you're using a RPM switch to control the VTEC solenoid, with the P06, then sure.
But switching the chip from a P06 to a P28... I don't think it's possible due to the additional VTEC fuel mapping and trouble codes in the P28.
You can always make the P28 think you have VTEC by giving it the oil pressure signal, then it would run your non-VTEC engine with the P28 map. Plus a little boost in fuel and timing at the VTEC point.
All though it may be too much for your engine... I honestly don't know there. All my research has been the other way, more fuel for my B18C5

thanks all, i think the best way around the hassel and trouble is to just run the vtec motor... i've found the conclusion and it will be a d15b... either p08 or p28, ecu chipping will be done as soon as i find the ecu itself...
