i have one in the rear (and tie bar too)
theyre alright, do their jobs decent i guess

I dont do anything real serious racing, but I can tell that they somewhat, very minorly stiffened up the car...then again its probably my imagination

I have bought my rear strut bar for my accord and it stiffened up very nicely....but you have to ask what the difference in a 100 strut bar and an ebay 20 dollar special...they do about the same job, now if you gonna go racing/street I would suggest since you are a: racing in the first place that you can b: afford to NOT get the ebay special since they probably have better r&d instead of a copycat design and use more strengthened parts (I think longevity is a good word)

I got one in the front...did absolutely nothing. Invest in lower sway bars.

To me they all do the samething. I made one for my probe and it was stiff as hell, did the job just aswell if I spent 150 on one.

a strut bar is a strut bar unless you are getting one of the nice 3 point ones that connects to the firewall too. Also the neuspeed strut bar's are real nice with 4 points of connection and no flexible hinges.

for the most part a strut bar is a strut bar, im sure someone will get on here sayin how expensive ones have super special metal material blah blah... but for the price of an ebay strut bar its more than worth the loot.

i have both front and rear and they're okay but I also have front and rear itr swaybars, and front and lower tie bars. You wouldn't feel any difference if you just have only strut bars

ahh the ebay bars are "a'aight"

definetely a bar is just a bar,

but the ebay bars are definetely made with cheaper materials.

try some ITR style bars, they work good,
and are the only solid non jointed bars you can get, i think, from ebay.

for the front though, i'd recommend getting a used neuspeed bar though,
its the most solid/rigid bar you'll find, and they're cheap. got mine for liek 50bux

oh and that "you get what you pay for, they MUST BE ****" kinda talk is just pure ignorance, if you'll take the time to notice, everyone who has ACTUALLY OWNED ONE says they're pretty good, especially for the price.

I got a front one off ebay and it was custom made and it had no adjustments you had to hammer it on the bolts. Works great 15 shipped coulnt be happier, bought a rear tie bar for 15 as well works fine to me and i got an OBX one off ebay for 20 and it works great as well. Its worth it to me, but i dont race or anyhting so maybe not the best ones money can buy but they work...

I got a front and rear off ebay and i don't have any tie bars or lower but i got to say that my car was like a compleatly new car... it handled better than i ever thought possible. mine were 40$ for the set. my friend has the same civic as mine and got the dc bars and they handle the same as mine and he paid 250!

the only ones that made a diff. for me were the mugen bars, which are also on ebay for a little bit more.

Ebay specials are about the same as any other strut bar, unless you are getting a 3 or 4 point strut bar.....more contact points=stiffer. I am sure everyone knows this but, almost all of your car flexs, especially from strut to strut (thats why its a popular mod) just imagine having a roll cage in your car would do.....it can't move, send your 20 bucks for a strut bar and call it a day, unless your doing serious racing its not worth the money, money that could be spent on other goodies

my friend got an ebay strut bar, he said it did nothing at first, but then he really started takin corners pretty hard and he said it was infact noticable. MY QUESTION IS: since the mugen knockoff's are welded, they are a little more money, but is it worth it to get it. ALSO:any one with a del sol with a rear strut bar, can you stire the top in the trunk with the bar in or no?

another thing, to install the bar...... jack the car up and support the struts, or just unscrew the nuts on the top and put it on. sorry if this is a dumb question but i have always have wondered.

Also the itr rear sway bar brand new with bushing kit from the dealer will fit on all eg/ej's for less then a 100 bucks
