Icon2 Ebay Intake Manifold for B18 1.8? w/Link

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ALUMI...Q5fAccessories

Just curious if anyone has ever used them & got any results, or would I be better off with the stock manifold or the Edelbrock. If you recommend the Edelbrock, which part number?

I have a B18B1 1.8 in my Civic, Stage 1 Garrett Turbo w/10-15lbs boost & intercooler, Precision fuel injectors, Crower cams, Skunk2 new springs and lite weight retainers, Thermal exhaust, UD pulleys.

I'm kinda new to this engine & I'm just looking for some more upgrades that actually work, without wasting my time & money.

* Throttle body (size, brand, if any)
* TB Spacer
* Ignition (plugs, wires, cap, coil, exc.)
* Intake Manifold

Any advice will do.

Thanks in advance.

lol...no I can't find anything about it, I guess thats why I came here.

this is all you get...

ALUMINUM AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD: Gets rid of the Long Runner type manifold and replaces it with a Short Runner Velocity Stack High HP Manifold.This manifold allows you to use on OEM or aftermarket throttle body.Constructed of 5052 Aluminum, TIG welded and pressure tested.The flange is a HUGE 1/2" thick alumium flange that is decked for perfect sealing.Increased volumetric efficiency by 70% over stock intake manifold .10-15 horsepower increase.Minor Modifications may be required.Utilizes factory sensor positions and auxiliaries. SAME AS PICTURE.

looks to me like they tried to make a knock off of the golden eagle turbo intake manifold on the market. I would look into the edlebrock victor x or bbk performance manifold. both great for boost

Yeah that manifold looks like ****. Don't bother. Sounds like you've got a decent setup going, so I wouldn't ruin it with no name parts. An aftermarket manifold like Edelbrock would be much better, if that's what you really want. As for improving your turbo setup, I don't have a lot of forced induction experience personally, so you'd probably have better luck posting in that section.

I really like the BBK intake manifold, I don't see it making much difference between it & the Edelbrock Performer, is the intake nessasry for a boosted application. Basicly the BBK runs about $250-$300 bucks, is it going to make any kind of gains?

Any time you change the length/diameter of the intake runners, it's going to change how the motor runs. Air comes in, the valves close, air bounces out and then back into the runners. Shorter and fatter runners make more top end power, long skinny ones make more mid and low range.

The Edelbrock ones look like good quality, but the issue is that they can be too short. Do your research, maybe it's what you want, maybe you'd want a Skunk2 ITR copy or maybe the OEM LS manifold will be ok.

The BBK piece is a very unique part. Its a mix of the edlebrock victor x and S2 pro manifold in basic terms. It makes peak power in the 6000-9500rpm range. It has a large plenum and shortened runners. The plenum is larger then that of the S2 pro IM but slightly smaller them the Victor X. It has shorter runners then the S2 IM but slightly longer then the Victor X. IMO the best of both worlds. I have seen it used on 500+whp turbo builds and even one GSR build that topped at 612whp @22psi on a gt35 w/ pump gas. Its a quality part and the 70mm TB they produce too is already portmatched to it.
