eBay Header.... yes I KNOW EBAY IS CRAP
Ok, so I have a fairly stock 00 Si, just an Exedy Clutch and Fidanza flywheel for now. I'm looking for a little more power, I'll be pickin up a J's Racing (or passwordjdm knockoff CF intake). But I'm still debating on what kind of header to get. The $400 range of headers are a little expensive for me right now, I wouldn't mind getting a nice one someday, but I don't have the money now.
So.. I was wondering what these generic B series type ebay headers are like? For 75 bucks I can pick up a header for my car. I know it wouldn't be the best power, but my main concern is if it will even fit properly? I hear the biggest problem with these type of headers is the fitment, is this true? Would it even be worth getting for a cheap 75 bucks just to have a header to slam on for a while?
And yes, I know ebay is crap, I know I'm a ricer if I buy from them, and I know I shouldn't think about buying knock-off parts.

you def get what you pay for, 50$ for a header is such an awesome deal. 10+ hp for 50 bucks shipped is the win.
I dynoed my ebay header on my ef and my friends an-r and it was a 2hp diffrence. lol.. shrug..
i'm all set with paying $600 more for 2 hp..
by the way the an-r made 2 more hp than the ebay header

You're probably going to loose power with a cheap header. They're already pretty well optimized from the factory, so it takes alot to get gains from one. But if you just want to buy one to say you've got one, an eBay one would be fine.

I got an ebay header...it fit just fine. I haven't heard anyone complain about them either...You have to redo your piping as you would with any other header but that's about it...

Thanks for all the input guys, I think I'm gonna try to get my hands on a cheap Megan Racing header.

This is gonna be the first time I've swapped my own header, what piping am I going to have to re-do?

bullshit.
companies like mugen spend their money on designing them. Welders in america copy them and sell it for a 1/4th of the price.
Take it from a TIG WELDER. I have looked at my friends 80 dollar stainless header and it was immaculate!
I usually go for the 2piece ones. Mainly because it's a pain in the *** to remove the 1 piece ones.

i bought a generic ebay header.. i felt gains when i gased it just like putting that wannabe jdm whale ***** intake..
gain was good.. but the bad thing was it gets hot faster.. i dont know if its because i got the chrome kind or what but whatever.. sold it for hella cheap and put the stock d series header back on

man screw ebay headers, and dont think that DC **** is all '"BRAND NAMEEE" screw that too its the same ****, just 8 times the dough. you want something worth the money, get an oem 01 ITR header. proven gain. and it wont cost you as much as some brand named crap thatll end up cracking on you a year down the road.
