autozone part number is M52517
$63.00 + 45.00 core

It took a few times for them to give me he right one. but I got it and put in much better then the 13/16 my car came with stock much less pedal travel.

Is the one that autozone gives out a remanned Nissin? Or is it a completely different brand? And does it have the bore marked on the side of the cylinder? Thanks

from my earlier post:

the diameter is stamped on the left side of the MC towards the front (if you're facing the front of the car). Most autozone's do carry it. When I got mine they had it in stock. Don't know the part number. Sorry.
Yes, they are remanufactured units. The one I got was a Nissin one.

what brake lines should i buy so that they will bolt in where they supposed and not just hand there?
Get the integra lines. Your civic lines don't fit because the integra calipers are spaced out further from the center of the wheel. If you get the non abs integra lines they will bolt to where it's secured on the knuckle correctly.

so i should buy a 91 four door ex mc (did this come with a sohc vtec motor like the one that came stock in my car?)and then put it in.
Depends. Do you have a lot of pedal travel? You might not necessarily need it. The bigger MC will just have less pedal travel to stop with the same force.

i want to buy a master cyclinder from autozone but i don't know what it is supposed to look like. i read in the earlier posts that it has 15/16" stamped on the front but where should the holes and **** be on it? tell me where they should be assuming that i am looking at the front of it(the part that is visible when it is in your car).
it should look just like your stock MC except it has a bigger bore. The holes for the brake lines are in the same spot.

when i upgraded my 98 DX hatch from disk drum to all GSR disks. I upgraded
my master cylinder to the 2000 SI master cylinder. Worked like a charm for
me.

Anyone know if 92-95 civic MC or 90-93 with abs/non abs will work for my 92 civic hatch? are the lines bigger on it? and what proportional valve do i get from the 90--93 integra, non abs or abs?

Anyone get a chance to do a comparison in braking between the 91 EX 4door MC and stock booster VS the RS MC and RS booster?
Just interested in how the two compare in braking force, pedal travel, and modulation. Is there much, noticable, difference in the two setups?

Snoopy I have had both sitting next to each other and if the RS is a 15/16 then they are identical from what I can tell.

The ex sedan should if it had rear discs and abs, which it probably does. The cx should have 13/16".

ok im about to do the rear disc conversion on my 93 civic cx hatch. i have the whole brake system from a 94 gsr. i also have th 40/40 proportioning valve. now my question is once i put the 40/40 on and the whole brake system on. what should i do? use the 91 civic ex 4 door m/c (15/16) with the stock cx booster or should i go out and get the rs booster and use the 15/16 m/c? i am confused as to what i should do to make it right i dont want to do a half azz job. i want the right setup. any help???
