Default Dual Exhaust

Would adding a dual exhaust system add more power? What i mean by dual is having 2 tips come out from the rear (right and left)?

dual exhaust is utterly pointless on a 4 banger.

im not saying your wrong but lets not forget about the s2000 or audi tt quattro, both for bangers with 2 pipes... granted the audi is turbo and the s2000 one may just be for looks but who knows only honda...

unless you have a god forbid body kit ::gasp:: with 2 exhaust outlets on the rear bumper there is never a time when its ok to put dual exhaust on a civic...

VR4 is a Mitsubishi model designation.

The Audi TT is the a straight 4, just like the rest of VW's turbo motors.

all depends on how much hp you plan on making. a friend of mine had dual exhaust on his prelude, but he was putting down about 550 to the front wheels.. oh yeah, he was also in Super Street last january.

Doesn't hurt to double the exhaust size and muffling power on a turbo car.

I'd love to see you explain just how dual exhaust is going to effectively create more backpressure. I'll sit down, drink in hand, and wait for this wonderful explanation.

your thinking vr6, and yes that was an available option on the 2006 TT but the quattro was an inline 4 with dual exhaust...

Too large of a piping size for an exhaust (or too much exhaust system volume to fill) will actually slow the flow velocity, causing the exhaust pulses to stall in the pipe and creating backpressure.

The best exhaust for a turbocharger is just a short horn right off the turbine outlet.
