DropZone is horrible. I was thinking about them too but i decided not to go cheap. I bought a set of Tokico HP shocks for $244 and Skunk2 coilovers for $230.

i think most of the guys on here saying that they are crap are actually dumbufcks that have never been in a car with dropzone suspension, but u guys are the JDM ONLY STYLE YO that only put spoon or tein on their cars!
i dont care if i cant pull 1.9g on the skipad, im not gonna be racing, maybe some drag racing and one or two road racing events this summer but other then that i just need something to lower my car and this is cheap plus the shocks have a lifetime warrenty!!!!!!

i had dropzone coilovers. Nothing to brag about, but it's not really the springs that cause a "bad ride" issue, it's the dampers you use.

FYI...Arospeed coilovers have 450F 350R rates...stiffer than the base GC coils

actually i don't rock JDM style only YO.
i just think that something like suspension that is extremly important you should cut corners on.
ride on your stock struts and purchase some GC. then when you get more money puchase some KYB AGX great cheap setup. THAT will never go bad.
and when something like a strut has a life time warrenty, its usally only at a cetian ride hight.
i have ridin in cars and driven cars with H&R springs, skunk2 coil overs, APC coil overs, max speed coil overs, drop zone coil overs, aerospeed coil overs, and some no name spring with 6 coil's cut off of them.
H&R spring- ok ride, shitty handeling and they saged like a MO FO.
skunk2 coil overs- rides ok, never seen them sage, handeling was ok, just don't like the spring rates they come with.
APC, MAX speed, DRopzone and AERO speed coil overs- all rode like ****, they were bouncy as ****, (no not stiff, actually bouncey) and all of the coil over metioned after a minimum of 1 year, the spring had actually been compressed and smashed (this means the original coil gap were GONE on the top 4 or 5 coils)
no name springs, with 6 coils cut- road extremly smooth, handeled like ****.
i have also seen 10 to 15 people purchase APC, max speed, drop zone and aero speed coil overs, be happy that they had a drop for cheap then ride in my car or another car with GC and be soo pissed that they wasted there money and that there car rides like ****. needless to say every one i know that had aero speed, max speed, drop zone, and APC has sold them or threw them away and purchased ground controls and one purchased skunk 2's
this isn't hear say this is a fact. now im not saying all no name brands are bad, the no name springs i had with the 6 coil's cut road like a dream, they had as smooth ride as a stock civic. i got these for free so it wasn't anything i was wasteing money on.

you can get ANY spring rate on a GC for no extra charge. the quality of aero speed is crap.
i know i have ridin in and driven 3 cars with them.

on a side note, are there any maintenace concerns with coilovers, like do i have to spray them with an anti corrosin spray or somehting ,id like them to last longer then a couple winters without having the sleeves seize up from rust and i am unable to raise or lower anymore

Re: (BeerBaron105)
with something like drop zone aerospeed max speed or apc then ya maybe i don't know my friends never kept theres on long enough to tell.
as far as GC's go had mine on my car since 00 and never had any rust. but some times dirt gets stuck to the sleeve so BEFOR YOU MovE THE PERCH its always a good idea to squrit some WD40 or some simple green on there and wipe them down

Re: (BeerBaron105)
well unless you have super man strengh you need ot jack up the car. removing the tire is all about personal preferance.
the rear is harder to do with the tire on, you need to accesse the coil over by going under the back bumper
