I've found a friend who has more experience and have decided to do the stuff with him. Now I would like to ask for your help to see if I'm missing any parts or processes:

Parts:

1: RS*R lowering springs - $80 brand new a while back - sitting in my room
2. Skunk2 tuner series front camber kit - $150 - will purchase this week
3. Front teg knuckles - $75 - bought a while back sitting in garage
4. rear brake set up from integra $150 - bought a while back sitting in garage
5. bearings and lower ball joint for teg knuckles - HAVENT GOT THIS YET, NOT SURE IF IT'S NEEDED

Processes:

1. take out front knuckles and upper control arms, replace with teg knuckles with new shocks, springs and camber kit

2. Is it worth it for me to change bearings and lower ball joint on the knuckles, i think price is like $200 just for parts alone. the knuckles are out though, so maybe shops would charge me cheaper to swap.

3. change rear disc brake set up - not sure if i want to do this yet as i read it takes a while to do this, BUT i need new drums shoes and that'll cost like $100, so since i have the rear disc setup already, i might as well change it out. what do you guys think?

4. put everything back to normal, get an alignment and call it a day or a week, lol.

5. might need a rear camber kit, i seen blox ones for 80-90 bucks, any negatives of that brand compared to skunk2 , which is twice as expensive?


In my parts list and processes, can you spot anything obvious missing, or are there things that can be easiyl upgraded/changed while i have the suspension out like that? Much thanks!

Hello there,

this is for 92 civic hb

my front wheel bearings are busted and i need ot change parts, since I haven't done upgrades in a while, i am deciding to swap out a few parts in the process.

I figured since my front wheel bearings are busted, swapping in teg knuckles would solve that, even though i wont know how long those bearings would last on the knuckles. I'll get new brembo blank rotors and brakes pads at least.

I picked up a set of RS*R lowering springs and will pick up next week: tokico blue shocks and skunk2 tuner series front camber kit.

anyone know how much someone would charge for all this? to swap in the new springs, shocks and teg knuckles.


besides those parts, are there other parts i should swap/upgrade while i got those things out? thanks very much!

i know a friend got quoted 3-400 just for installing lowering springs.. you have quite a bit more thanthat to do id say 5-600 maybe only way you wil know for sure is to call around to REPUTABLE shops and ask

I was thinking $500 or more to replace springs, R&R kunckles, install Camber kit and alignment.

Will your alxes fit the the hubs ? you should install new bearings too.

dam never knew installing that stuff was all that expensive. i know people say to install shcoks is like 80 bucks. i dont see why adding front knuckles, camber kit and those things would add so much to the cost. hmm maybe ill try to do it myself.

as far as the axles fitting the hub, are they different sizes? thanks

When your doing this job, keep track of how long it takes you. Then multiply that times $75.00 per hour plus alignment.


Then think about everything the shop has to pay for. You'll understand.

I think a lot of people fail to realize what tend to look like an easy job often turns into something much more complicated. In a perfect world doing what the OP wants to do would involve unbolting old parts and bolting up new parts, it usually doesn't work that way. Usually things break, seize or strip or you run into some other unforseen problem, mechanics know this and they take that into account when they give you a price, sometimes they get lucky and everything goes right and they make a little extra money, but usually something somewhere goes wrong.

If you can do the job by yourself and save the money great. But youre gunna want to take it to a good shop when you get done and have them align it.

its seriously not even that hard. grab a buddy who knows a thing or two and a couple hours and youll be done.

Civic axles will fit integra hubs and vice versa.
