Lol, dude you’re scaring me!! I’m still researching. Tein springs don’t give me the drop I want. Skunk2 springs do. Skunk2 coilovers have good reviews, Yonaka is hit and miss, haven’t looked into function and form yet. Hopefully I get the right setup.

The ridiculous offset/width rims and look that you are going for is not going to allow you to use standard drop in springs. You are more than likely going to need a lot of camber and need to use higher spring rates, with adjustable sleeves or full coil overs to figure out your ride height. High spring rates will require you to use shocks capable of dampening a high spring rate. Skunk2 sport shocks are not capable of this and their coilovers are trash. I gave you a few options already, skunk2 wasn't one of them. Also when using a coilover sleeve, instead of a coilover with independent ride height adjustments, you are going to need to use extended top hats to keep your shock stroke in the appropriate range, when lowering your car.

On some real ****, I appreciate you taking the time to lace me with game. I totally understand what you are trying to explain so again, thank you.
Right now I should mention that I just came from a tire shop and was told one of my rims is cracked and leaking air. So, with that being said, I’m in the market for new wheels. I know this could be the answer to my lowering issues but I want at least the same size wheel but better offset. Time for some more homework.

You just dodged a bullet there. Please, Please, Please stop the mexiflush stuff, save your self a lot of time/effort and go with the tried and true 15x7" 38-40mm offset and 205/50r15 summer tires. This will allow you to use normal drop in springs/shocks. Eibach sport line springs and Koni sport shocks would be nice, simple and affordable or the progress 2 coilovers I linked you to would also be a nice affordable and well performing setup.

Awe c’ mon man. How bout 20mm offset? Lol
Youre recommended setup is best for performance, no doubt, but it’ll also have me looking like every other civic in my area.

Got around to installing my dashboard lights. Also added a dome and license plate LEDs.

How about you share which kind of build you are after, there is 3 basic types:
  • Trailer Queen (show) - This build, function is of little importance. Appearance is just about everything.
  • Street/Strip - This build is a combo of looks and function, function being primary importance followed very closely with appearance.
  • Race - This build, appearance is not of any significant importance, only function is of relevance. This build is also not street legal.

Once you identify the build you are going for, it will help everyone else with your goals.

Remember, there is a reason most builds have similar looks with the exception of trailer queen full out custom builds. That reason is you still have to drive them and have safe functionality.

Street/strip for now. This definitely isn’t a show car, and I’m not trying to go full race. I like my tire/wheel combo but wasn’t going for that offset. I didn’t know too much about offset. I kinda do like the look but understand with that offset, I won’t be able to drop it that much. I know what I have to do but not sure if I’ll do it. I still accept all advice. That’s how I learn. I want to build a fun car. I want good suspension, if I have to change a few things later, I will. Keep advice coming.

Are you driving on this wheel tire combo right now? I couldnt imagine you being able to take a pothole without smashing your fenders.

Why is the check engine light ON?
blue cluster light is cool but harder to see. I had blue in the past and switch to white. Too much eye strains.

Yes the zero offset wheels are on now. I’m at factory height so I have about 3 1/4inches of clearance. I took a vid of the front tire while driving but the road was hella smooth so it ain’t worth posting. I gotta find a bumpy road and film it.

Its the ABS light that’s on. The blue isn’t hard to see at all. I thought it would be cuz they’re only 3 led, but it’s surprisingly bright.

Got some new wheels. 15x8 20+ offset. Was hoping to stay with the look that I like but lost it. Oh well. I do wanna lower it and I have a better chance with this set up.

That's a much better wheel spec for your car. I have the same, except for 16in diameter instead of 15in, and I lowered my car quite a bit and it's flush. You'll have to roll your fenders and pull them slightly depending on your tire size.

That’s a nice car!
I have 195/45’s. I’m glad to hear I can pull it off with my setup. What drop do you have? If coilovers, how many inches?

Thank you! Lots of work done. I'm not exactly sure how much it's lowered, I would estimate 3"-4"? When I got it, it wasn't at stock height...previous owner blowtorched the springs, smh. It's on Ground Control coilovers, 550lb/in Front, 450lb/in Rear on Koni Yellow struts.

All the work shows. That’s the basic look I was going for. Do you, or anyone, know if we “have” to buy camber kits when we lower our cars? Even if only lowering springs? All my previous non Honda cars and trucks ive lowered and just to it for alignment and that was enough.

Its funny, this "unique" look that you are striving for, is pretty much how every orlando fiebre civic in central florida looks. Form over function, slammed/stanced/stretched, big width/offset rims, with skinny tires.
All that work, just to have your car ride like ****, with no added performance, I just don't get it lol.

Pretty sure I said it earlier, camber kits (unless for dialing in a track car), is a newb/stupid move on a street driven DC/EG/Del sol. The natural camber that you get from mild to moderate drops, is exactly what you want/need.
What will need correcting is the toe and maybe caster...

Damn, bro. You gotta relax on people’s preferences on what they do with their cars. If you don’t get the look, it’s koo cuz you don’t have to. All you gotta understand is what YOU are going for. If I wanted something fast I would have bought something fast. I have an eco-box that I just happened to like the way it looks so I’m going to enhance it the way I choose. If we all had the same taste all our cars would look the same. Give advice to people who ask and quit trying to figure out why they do what they do.

After you finish being upset about my opinion on fiebre rice modding, read through what I said a few times about camber kits. You're welcome.

Thanks on the advice about the camber kits, real ****. As far as opinions, **** just gets old. I never understood why V8’s bash on 4 bangers and vice versa, Ford bashes Chevy, Chevy bashes dodge, why ppl bitch about “trucks aren’t meant to be lowered they’re meant for work “, etc. I like most anything on wheels and I appreciate work ppl put into their ride. If I don’t like it I keep my opinion to myself. It’s not like they’re going to change their mind bcuz of me.
Bashing goes way before the internet, I’ve been around longer than the internet, guess that’s why it’s so annoying.

I like ford, chevy, dodge, v8's, 4 bangers (obviously lol), mildly lowered trucks, lifted trucks etc.... I appreciate work put in..... As long as its functional (faster, stop better, handle better, even better mpgs etc...).
Now on the other hand, modding something to be less functional, just to be pretty, come on.... You might as well put on high heels and make up.

Bought my a cheap lil JVC. Nothing to build a system on, just something with Bluetooth so I can stop using my phone as a radio. It’ll hold me so I can keep working on my car.
