door lock cylinder help
hey guys got a question for you honda guru's. I broke the clips on the lock cylinder's that connect to the rod that raises and lowers the lock handle ( the thing that goes up and down with your locks) it doesnt have power locks. Basically i locked my keys in my car too many times when i was young and foolish. I ended up breaking both of them over the years. So it i lock my doors from the inside the lock clinder doesnt deactivate the lock because those flimsy retainer clips snapped. Its not safe to not lock my honda in this day and age. I have an alarm but i want the piece of mind of working locks! I could replace the lock cylinders but then i would have one key for ignition and another for the door lock? Should i convert over to power locks? I have a compustar alarm so i could just go power lock route. Can i buy the clips ? or do i need new lock cylinders? thanks!

so you just broke the little plastic clips that you slide the rod into and then clip over top of the rod? if so yes you can get them

If you do replace the lock cylinders. Take the old one out and head over to your local lock smith. They can take it apart the old one and rekey the new one to use your original key. HaHa no need to have 2 diff keys
