Doing an Auto to Manual swap right now for 92 civic!!!
Finally getting the swap done right now as we speak.. Gonna go back and check progress in about 2 hours. MY list of parts needed were
Tranny (I really hope so)
Starter
Flywheel (At this point you will decide whether you want to have a light flywheel or stock weight)
Clutch kit (PLEASE BUY THIS NEW.. DONT CHEAP OUT...Then you wont have to worry about anything)
Pedals
Vehicle Speed Sensor (should hopefully come with tranny)
ECU (I didnt need this since I converted my own ecu myself..not hard)
Clutch master cylinder
Clutch fluid resivoir
Clutch slave cylinder
Clutch fork
Clutch Bolts
Hydro Lines
Shift linkage
Shifter
Shifter bushings
Shift ****
Flywheel bolts
Tranny bolts
Starter bolt (It's longer than the auto starter)
Flywheel cover (inspection plate)
Throttle cable
Center console (I kept my auto one and modified it)
cotter pins (to connect pedals to clutch, etc)
Long black tranny bracket (should have 3 holes)
And any other screws and bolts that come off the donor car.
*Either a Auto to Manual tranny mount OR a Manual Chassis bracket. They say you can cut and weld the auto one but instead my friend is running to a junkyard to cut a manual one out and welding it to my car.. I dont see the need to spend almost 200 for just a mount.
Someone in another thread wrote that you NEED a new intake manifold...Maybe in a 96-00 it imight be needed. My engine and tranny all are from a 98 ex with only 36,000 miles on it. Got it 2 years ago.. I've had this tranny for over 2 years in my garage and never though about installing it till about a few months ago. I was getting sick of automatic so I decided to finally swap. Right now this is a MESSY thread so I will clean it up soon with good pics in order and everything.. right now here are just some random pics I have.... I'll keep ya posted and will fix this thread.
These are the parts that sat in my garage/shed for years... The clutch stuff it came with was nearly brand new but still decided to buy a new clutch kit since I didnt have a throwout bearing which was almost 48 bucks from the auto parts store. the whole exedy clutch kit cust me 80 bucks!
After I got everything I needed
Some of the parts came off this donor car. Just a lil waxing and it will look new!
Pic of my auto shifter before I left the car at my friends house. Last time I'll see that on there anymore
Parts in trunk. I drove around with that stuff for 3 days.. not good... Try going over a speed bump forgetting you have a tranny in your trunk.
My...car thing....
Did the best I could on drawing the chassis bracket comparison. Looking at my auto bracket up close.. I dont see how people could move the bracket down any since it's folded and huging the frame... maybe some bending is required too?

You need an intake manifold for 96-00 not for 92-95 For this year you need the auto to manual mount.

Re: (tbuck4224)
you're going to need a block off plate to cover the hole made by the removal of the auto shifter. just got done with my swap today. goodluck to you

you have to buy a different top tranny mount. my buddy bought one from jdmshit.com i believe. dont bend it, i never felt safe bending anything on my car for safety reasons.

Correct.
Here is the full parts list need for this swap. I did it about a year and a half ago.
