The 5 bolts that hold it down? Yes, there is a certain number. I just can't recall it right now .

But I've taken my valve cover off over a dozen times now and I've never torqued it. If you don't torque it like I do, just don't over tighten because they snap EASILY.

ninajedit - eh was bored and searched for yah. 7lbs.

Also known as barely tight with the 1/4 drive. I find if I use anything bigger than the 1/4inch drive, I overtighten them, and then it leaks...

Also be sure to use hondabond on the 4 corners when putting it back on. Then let it sit for at least 30 minutes before starting the car so the hondabond can "cure". And by the way I edit'd my first post and put it in there for yah.

To be honest, I have no idea where you can get it. In the past, I've worked on my car with a few buddies so they always just gave me their stuff.

But it's like a sealant to prevent leaks. Hence why you should let the valve cover sit on the car for a while before turning the car on so you don't disrupt the hondabond settling/curing.

Hondabond is a sealant for pretty much everything on your car haha. And its sold at a honda dealership. There is something sold at autozone called rvt silicone or something like that.. But hondabond works better.
