Does toe kit fix toe alignment problems?
Hi. I bought my 92 civic totaled and used in 96 and has been having issues with uneven tire wear. Had been to several alignment shops throughout the years, and they have always mentioned that the rear control arm compensator is maxed out and they can't get it to spec, but will do what they can. Just yesterday, after getting new tires, I headed over to another alignment shop and they wouldn't even align it at all. My question is would I be in luck if I get a toe kit? The car hasn't been modified and it was probably involved in a wreck before I bought it and thus adjustments were maxed out without getting into spec.
TIA.
Do you guys think that replacing one of the suspension part will solve my alignment problems? And if so, which one? You can just tell that I'm not sure what can be done since I don't really want to wear my tires down prematurely...short of selling the car that I love.
Here's a link of the suspension parts so you guys can tell me what needs to be replaced. I can't really tell by inspection what needs to be replaced.

Re: Does toe kit fix toe alignment problems?
I've seen this problem before and I doubt a toe kit will fix it... IF you want it right!
You need to compare the trailing arms and see if one is bent! The one I saw actually bent the trailing arm bushing but needed the whole arm, because that piece should not bend the say it did!

Re: Does toe kit fix toe alignment problems?
The car is not lowered and the tire wear is most pronounced on the rear left. The rear toe is always positive on the right and negative on the left.
The readings I got 8 years ago were -0.07" left and 0.16" right which was maxed out. The initial readings I got just a day ago were -0.12" left and 0.14" right. Specs are supposed to fall between 0.02" and 0.06" at least according to the alignment report.
Any suggestions? Do you guys still think that a toe kit won't fix the problem? The trailing arms would be the last thing I'd replace without even knowing if that will solve the problem.
