Does a HT Honda get stolen every day?
Is it just me or do I see a car from HT getting stolen almost literally, EVERY DAY?
I have been on the mr2 board for years and I have only seen one or two cars stolen there.
You guys are making me affraid to take my civic anywhere or leave it anywhere. I have always hated alarms and their messy wiring but maybe I will just have to reconsider that.

I think it depends on where you live also. Seems like more cars are stolen in California and in the bigger cities. It does suck though.

Also, anti-theft devices: alarms, Clubs, Autolocks, locked doors (you'd be surprised), and LoJack, are all theft deterrants. Although nothing can stop a theif if he/she really wants your car (they'll get a tow truck), these help. I should know – I had my car (no deterrants) stolen in April.

Yes I would think at least one HT car gets stolen everyday. It sucks but what can we do?
The reason is simple. People post pics to show there car to everyone (informative or bragging). Then they have their city and state information in their profiles. So thieves can basically find the general areas these people live in and look for their cars to jack them.
That's why I don't post my car or my info on here. There are lots of thieves reading HT and nothing we can do about it.

unless you have reported to your insurance the mods that you have done to your car , most insurance wont cover it .

VA, Toronto CA, Cali....those seem to be the hot spots for ITR and hybrid civic thefts.

I must've been lucky, then. I didn't have a recipt for my wheels, exhaust, or intake when they were stolen (I bought them used from my friend) but my insurance covered thoe items (thank goodness).
