Yeah, I wanna know what this thing is cause I'm tring to get my 97' CIVIC H/B BAR'ed. I'm converting everything to 99-00. I got everything already as far as:
99-00 B16A2 w/ engine wiring harness
99-00 P2T ECU
99-00 complete inerior wiring harness
99-00 Evap canister
99-00 Cat

Basically everything off a 99-00 CIVIC SI. My question is, do I need this on thing that in the red, to get the civic BAR'ed. I know that line connects to the evap canisiter. So if anyone can help that would be the best... Thanks..

well, if its connected to the Evap canister, i would def think u need it to pass BAR...but doesnt ur car have it allready??

Yeah. It connects to the evap canister, but you should already have one of those lines in the same place on your car

my car is a 93cx hatch, and i have it...u or someone fcked around with the evap system before...u should have one though...

I mean I have some evap lines and stuff but just that one FAT line isnt there. I was told that 96-97 models dont have certain evap lines but the 98-00 models do. You know what I mean? My hatch is a CX, I forgot to mention. I'm doing an SI swap on everything so I figure only SI's have that little hose right there.

96-98 fuel tank vapor lines are smaller then the 99-00 fuel tank vapor lines.

i looked at the pic some more and that other line above it has the same fitting on it what did that go to it might go were that other line came from

OP...

believe me...ur car has it...if its missing the hose...get a new one...you know if your missing it because the hard line tha goes to the gas tank will not have the hose that goes to the canister...

i actually see it in ur pic..

if you look at the EM1 pic...its the third hardline counting from left to right....
if you count the hardlines on your firewall from left to right...you'll see that you have it but ur missing the hose...

I see what your saying, but why is the hose fatter? Also, the 97' evap canister is way different from the 00' canister.

no..u only need that if you trynna BAR a K swap....but yea man..i really dont know what canister u gonna need, i never tryed to pass BAR before...u can prob still use your canister, prob just gonna need to buy a hose long enough for it....

or else get the EM1 canister and that same hose..

i went to check my car right now and counting from left to right, the 2nd hard line is the fuel return and the 3rd is the one to the canister..

Yeah thanks bro you've helped alot... Ummm, Thats the **** im trippin off of. I dont know what canister to use. and oh also when I replaced the 97' interior harness to the 00' interior harness there was an extra plug where the fuel tank is. Here:

well, since ur converting everything on ur car to an EM1, i would say just run the EM1 canister..prob be best incase u need it for BAR for emmisions...and about that plug, i really dont know...maybe theres another plug on the EM1..maybe someone else can chime in about that...i found this pic of a EM1 fule pump...

i think that goes to the FTP sensor ****.. and yeah u need the em1 canister to pass smog. they check for that **** b4 they smog ur car. its like #2 or 3 on the checklist.. you'll be fine with the hose above.. have a little faith in urself
