Does anyone have an unmolested Civic VX?
Am I the only one here with an unmolested Civic VX? I only bought this car for commuting, not for modding. Anyone here uses their VX as commute only car?
I get an awesome 46-48 MPG average and the best of 52MPG. This is calc with the bigger 175 (vs 165mm) tires so my mileage is actually higher.
I do have other cars which I have modified (supra, eclipse, typhoon, etc) so it's not that I don't mod my car... far from it.

Unmolested Hondas are a little more common near me. I have a customer with a 95 VX 333K miles and never been modded..mint condition too! Same guy also has a 91 CRX si with @80k same shape..no rust. And then he just bought a 2007 Honda Civic SI coupe from me brand new...keeping it stock and mint in the garage.
Oh, and I own a 95 CX that is stock except for the radio and window tint. just had it repainted and I'm pulling the tint soon (bubbly). The stock part may change soon too!

I have a 1995 civic vx I use it as my daily driver. Its not unmolested but it was before i found it. I've swapped my tranny for a 6th gen ex, put in some seats, swaped body panels, upgraded the clutch to kevlar(I LOVE KEVLAR CLUTCHES!) I've done other stuff like sylvania headlights, upgraded the rims to 14" integra gs, lowered it, and a k&n drop in filter. But the motor is all stock!
I paid (if I remember correctly) $2500 for it. The prev owner wanted $3000. The prev owner is the original owner and, looking at his documents, he paid about $9k-$10k for the car brand new.
What is the msrp of this cars anyways?

Theres an old man that lives to the right of me who has a three 84 crx's, one si, two plain jane. Two been wrecked in the front, and the other ran hot. They sat there for like a year and a half now. He wants 400 for all three. No mods neither.
The man to the left has 89 hatch, 91 crx, 95 civic ex, 90 hatch, and a 89 si. No mods at all and will not sell none of them.
He should burn.

I've been wanting one for a long while now. But I will definitely be molesting it, most likely installing my HX head onto a Z6 block, HX wheels, Si tranny, my AEM EMS, my AEM UEGO, and then low boosting it w/out lowering the compression.
I currently have a DX auto that I have modified for better performance and mileage. I get 31 around town and I've achieved 41 purely highway (but I've done more mods since then so it should be even better now). The car's been wrecked previously and repaired, but the lines aren't straight, so I want to start over with a VX. Also I want a stick.
I installed a VX rear diffuser, removed PS, removed a couple hundred lbs., lowered the car, removed AC and then blocked off the gap with sheet metal (VX's have a plastic barrier), installed a free flowing intake and exhaust. I want to get the VX engine mount, alternator mount, and front lip.

So lemme get this straight.
You're a commuter.
You own a supra, eclipse, typhoon, and other various cars. Yet you care enough about $$$ to buy a civic VX?
(Just making sure I got all the facts right)

You got it. Each car for different purpose I guess. I commute alot so I gotta watch the bucks. And if you live in the bay area, you can understand why I bought a VX.. Having a home and nice cars, you gotta cut corners somewhere. But I actually do enjoy the VX.. I just get no respect when I drive it.. In this car, people cut me off, tail gate me, etc etc. Weird feeling since this rarely happens to me in my other cars. Speaking of which, tonight, I had a car tailgate me and swerve side to side cuz he thought I was too slow (I wasn't). The VX has got to be the smallest car I own and I think people perceive it as a high schooler's car.
