If im not mistaken all D-Series engines are SOHC (single over head cam) besides the ZC but i dont think that is a d-series.

the D16A1 is a DOHC non-VTEC motor.
they were produced in 86-89 integra's.
the DOHC ZC is it's JDM equivalent.

you're thinking of the D16A6, which came in 88-91 Civic Hatchback/CRX Si's.
you said its a D16A1 in your previous thread?

Re: Does any1 know anything about this engine...??? (Si1enzio)
well its kinda odd for your car that is...it looks like a dohc zc swap (1.6 sohc non vtec)...pretty much the same motor from 89 integra...you said D series on the block correct...well then its not a B series ls swap...had this same swap in my crx a long while back...look at the valve cover...it has a detachable plastic cover over the cam gears....which all 90 and up LS valve cover are 1 peice aluminum cover covering the cam gears...thats why people cut that off so they can easily make adjustment to there adjustable cam

Re: Does any1 know anything about this engine...??? (Si1enzio)
if u ask why this swap is in your car...it might be cuz of money...you can use basically everything from your original motor...i.e. tranny...don't know how they got around the dist. though...maybe used a obd1 ls dist. if that fits or just change from white plugs to grey plugs...but i can be wrong about the whole thing...but i highly doubt its an ls...hope that helps

You are a complete Dumb ***... :
Please press ALT+F4 right now....
It's a LS motor.....B18b....Good for boosting because of low compression ratios, but no VTEC

How do you know? it could be a d16a1.............i think we can eliminate the chance of it being a zc. on the zc, the cover over the cam gears is raised above the valve cover about an inch or so. but just go read your block

Riceboys at it again...thinking they know everything. If you read his location you would see he is in Australia. I'm not sure but I remember a thread a while ago about the 92-95 I think the Si and EX came with the DOHC ZC. Don't quote me on the models but I do remember they came stock. The DOHC ZCs do have a similar look to LS motors but I believe the distributors are a little different or something of the sort. So will YOU now Please press ALT+F4 and go into your Internet Options and make this a restricted site. Thank you and have a nice day.

Yes I do know alot...
If your smart look in more detail about the engine, from what it looks like it's a LS DOHC motor... An just read the block and tell us so we can end this guessing game..
