you will need a spring compressor (like $20 at sears) a breaker bar and/or a ratchet, sockets, wrenches, jack, jack stands, a metal bar (for leverage on lower a arm) and an allen wrench for the top of the shock. pretty sure thats it for tools. figure about 4-6 hours or so to be safe

Well if I were in this same prediciment, I'd look to other shops first.
Talk to people who you know have done this before and see if they could help you do it yourself. When I say help I mean them, there, physically helping in person.

I strongly recommend doing this yourself. Air tools help, but you don't need them. I would soak the bolts in penetrant way ahead of time, the rear LCA bolts are a huge pain to get off. You can rent spring compressors from AutoZone for free ($50 deposit). Just get all the parts and tools ready and you can do this in an afternoon. Good luck!

yea 500 dollars is a good deal if your getting tokico blues along with your springs but in all seriousness, it is not difficult to install springs... it just takes a few tools and some wd-40 or PB blaster

Re: (SpugenEG)
i did my springs myself, LCA bolts = pain in the ***. People say you need a spring compressor but i didn't use one, i just wrapped the spring/shock with like 3 towels really tight. Then put all sorts of bricks and a steelie on top of it. Unscrewed the top and once you hear the pop, take off old spring and put on new spring

You can do the job in a few hours but when you get to the rear, the lower control arm bolts may be seized...well because they suck
Good luck on you're journey...you will learn a lot

Or you could rent them from Checker or Autozone for free.
And airtools help a lot. But using hand tools aren't too bad.

17mm, 14mm, 12mm, 10mm, jack, jackstands, pb blaster, breaker bar make sure that all the bolts on the lower control arms are soaked in pb blaster because they are known to break...A LOT
you could definatly do this if you have basic knowledge of cars
2-4 hours job for rookies
