Default Do yall think I got a good deal?

Tomorrow I'm going to get some Tokiko Illuminas and Ground Controls off an Civic SI used for about a month and a half (the person says) to be put on my 99 Civic EX. I'm getting it for 400 installed as long as I trade him with my stock suspension (spring/shocks). Do you guys think this is a decent deal?

Also, how should I look for how long the shocks/coilivers were used for, and is there a way to check for leaks/damages? I'll do a search after I post this and post any relavent info. but since I'm making this thread, I might as well ask the question first.

It's a pretty good deal if he's being completely honest with you and didn't have it slammed to the ground or something.

I think its an ok deal...From what I gather they aren't adjustable (the struts) which personally I think is a draw back. If the vehicle was lowered typically more than 1.75 inches the struts may have sustained some damage.

As for the installation, really no big deal because the job is so easy anyone with a working brain could do it.

Remember dont "settle" for an item just because you think its a good deal. Get what you want the first time and your done.

I totally agree. Get what you want with some respect to the cost and be done with it. Don't get something just to wish you had a different setup a couple months later..
