Do I have a JDM OBD1 or 2 motor? How can I tell?
I just received an OBDII JDM GSR and I'm trying to figure out what OBD I have. I have a rough idle and I noticed that it has a FITV or whatever. So now I'm thinking it might be OBDI.
Any help?

yourself. I provided all the info needed but I insist. OBVIOUSLY it's a JDM GSR in a 97 Civic DX Chassis.

What does it matter what the chassis is? He isnt asking anything except about the engine.
FITV also came on automatic cars. If you bought a whole swap, the trans could easily be swapped.
You need to look at the head, near the exhaust 3rd runner, there is a date stamp. It looks like (9|x)
Add a year to that and you'll have the year of the chassis of the car it came from, which you can figure the obd.
ALL other parts of the engine are easily swapped around (dizzy, tb, etc) so they are not good ways to figure the year. It is LESS likely that a head was swapped.......less likely....
