Default Do all 96-00 Civics have this bumper issue?

My car is very mildly lowered on H&R Sport Springs. When I go over speed bumps my bumper scrapes.

The part that is scraping is the big plastic flap part of the bumper cover that is near the exhaust header. I looked up under there and no screws are missing. If the rear most part of my front bumper cover didn't sag so much it wouldn't scrape. Do all the 96-00 Civics have that big rear flap thing on the very most back part of the front bumper cover near the header? If so, is there a fix to secure it better?

I only scrape after the front wheels go over the speedbump. The front lip never touches. It is just the back most part of the front bumper cover. The part that is back there next to the exhaust header. I am only lowered 1.7" in front. 1.5" in back.

Here is a pic (not my car). I outlined the bumper cover in red. The green areas are where mine is sagging alittle. Just enough to scrape after I roll over the speedbumps.

I guess I am ok with taking it off, but I'd rather fix it so that it doesn't scrape....

If theres no way to screw it up or zip tie it to anything and it bothers you really bad, take it off and save it incase you sell the car. I'm really suprised it scrapes though with a mild drop.

Yeah, the '92 - '95s do to, they sag bad on any civic thats been driven in snow (when you back up in snow it gets in there and pulls down on the splash gaurd, mines actually ripped.

Mines haywired to the frame of the rad fan and A/C condenser fan to keep it from hanging down.

It's actually not part of the bumper. It's a splash guard under the car. They commonly sag. Zip ties can fix it.

Yeah I had that problem, mine was crazy scratched up.

But maybe because I caught 15 feet of air going through a mall parking lot at night!

yeah just try to find a way to zip tie it or something... no ones gonna see it..

my next thought is, does it really bother you that much.?? sooner or later its gonna scrape itself away..
