Re: DIY Pedals!! (93EH6)
at one time long ago, i had the rubber covers off and just stuck skateboarding griptape right on the metal. of course it was the **** because i skate. go to a skateshop i'm sure if you ask for a tiny piece to cover the three pedals that they'll give the **** to you...different colors too...cut out shapes and be super retarded...matter of fact i'm doing this again tomorrow.

Re: (Ricey McRicerton)
the only thing I could see wrong with them is the absolute flatness of the clutch and brake pedal.... Maybe you could bend them a little convex?

Re: (99SiRacer)
do you really think grip tape will benefit over just having a smooth semi-grippy surface?
cuz I've pondered this before too, but came to the conclusion that it'll just eat up the bottom of your shoes....
especially for the gas pedal, i think it needs to be smooth...look at Mugen's design...cuz when you're pressing the gas up and down, it needs to slide on the bottom of your shoe...at least to make the car accelerate/decelerate smooth.
for the clutch and brake..i'm not too sure....i can see your left shoe getting eat up also, pressing and unpressing the clutch pedal in and out....i dont know..thats just my opinion....
but very crafty job!...

Actually i have been home schooled all my life and taught myself how to do stuff like this. It is nice cause the place that i work for has a huge shop that has everthing in it so this is a self taught kind of a thing.
and about bending the pedals i figure that since the stock ones are bent i can just tighten them down realy hard and it will bend them

thats a good idea i might try that but i had these bolts lying around so i taperd the holes and stuff to countersink the bolts

i think that grip tape would make it too sticky. for people with metal pedals and wear rubber sole shoes, after a rainy day and when the bottom of your shoes dires up, u know how sticky it feels on the pedal, i would hate for it to always be that way.. jus my thoughts
