yep, already did that. like i said, i was thinking it would weigh more than just 4lbs, but i was wrong. i like carbon fiber hoods, but would rather spend the money on cams or other real performance upgrades. also, CF hoods are pretty common around here and i don't like being like everybody else along with it being a giant "steal me" banner.

i did this same thing but my skeleton peice felt like it barely weighed a pound it is definitly not worth doing and now my hood is flimsy but i need a new hood regardless thats why i did it.

You could just paint the cf hood.....

I think i would just would have went out and got a job in that spare time so i could save up and buy a CF Hood. But i understand the whole i was bored thing, i been there too!!

the hood will definitely crumple easier... but... the skeleton controls which way the hood crumples... its designed so the hood crumples upward from the middle... without the skeleton it is possible that the hood could crumple in any direction... which could be unsafe
