DIY FG seats into a EG
Ok i cant find a how to thread on this so ill start one. I'm doing 09 si seats in my eg hatchback. You would think you need to swap rails, sliders and all, thats what i thought to. But i was wrong from measurements the rails are the same distance apart. The only thing that is different are three mounting brackets for the floor pan, which are studded/riveted into the sliders. So all you have to do is drill the studs/rivets out, and swap out the mounting brackets, and rebolt them in with small enough bolts that they dont enterfer with the sliders. Or what you can do as i will be doing when i get access to a welder is just weld the brackets in place. The one you don't remove is the back inside one that is flat on the eg/dc2 floor pan. Note this is the way im doing thia if you know of a easier way or better way to do this correct me, just a few hours ago i was looking for help on here, but after searching for my drill to tired to do this tonight. I am slowly working on this project but will post pictures as i go.

The rails and sliders simply won't swap over like previous civic models will. Your best bet is to do what I did when I had '09 Si seats in my car.
Take them to a fabrication/machine/welding shop, give them the passenger EG seat and the passenger FG seat, and just have them cut/re-weld the brackets to match the dimensions and angles of your EG seat brackets.
Cost me like $40 at a shop, took them 30mins to cut/re-weld the FG seat brackets.

Not necessary to butcher perfectly fine 6th gen seats. You can cut/re-weld and drill holes in the FG seat brackets.
Just make the ends the right angle and drill new holes. Not really a big deal.
