Ok, well I guess I should've titled it "DIY console"... just titled it "Audio Console" because that's what the replacement part you can buy is called..
And yes, I know it looks half *** cus this is my first time working with epoxy and fiberglass and bondo, and the vinyl covering already needs to be replaced.
Anyways, just showing what I had done, if you don't really have anything constructive to say, keep it to yourself.

Gotcha, I missed that part in your How-To... Good job though! And a LCD screen would really fill in that console nicely.

on the effort, I think that you did a good job for a first timer. I also think that you could have fiberglassed the console piece you made to the under dash piece. It may have looked a little better but once again on the job.

Your ideas are right there...But the final product does not reflect your enthusiasm.
If you plan on slapping in a LCD screen, might as well spend the $100 on a quality place to rest it.

Re: DIY eg Audio Console (Red CiViC Hatch)
Whatever, just thought it would be of interest to some people. Anyways, I already started remolding it, and hopefully the second time around will be better.

The idea is really good, and for the first time using all that **** it turned out pretty good. Don't worry about all these guys, some of us can't justify spending $100+ on an audio console. I'd like to see them do better Props on originality!

Re: (EX R8ED)
I think you did a great job. The only thing you might want to consider is making the next one come in flush with the shifter console. That would get rid of the unpleasant looking cuts in the vinyl on the corners. I think you did a great job with the first time fiber glass work.
I was just wondering how hard is it to work with fiber glass? Did you have to use any kind of releasing agent on the duct tape? Does the epoxy stink up your car?
All in all good job on the piece and hope to see your next one, maybe with a screen or gauges or an afc or if room permits all of them.
