disc swap ebrake STRUGGLE

disc swap ebrake STRUGGLE
I recently attempted a rear disc conversion on my 97 civic LX. I used the calipers and rotors from a 99-00 civic SI (brand new aftermarket) and the hubs from an integra (I think it was a 95).
After messing with it in all kinds of ways, I still can't get the parking brake to catch all the way. The most I've gotten is a little drag on one wheel.
Things I have tried so far:
-tightening the adjustor nut near the handle allllll the way
-replacing aftermarket cables with honda oem
-zip-tying to the control arm (the zip ties broke to make me realize that would never work)
Now there is one bracket on each cable that is not attached because the bolts were too rusty (Michigan) and rounded themselves out. Today I tried to tap an easy-out onto one of them and the whole thing went through the frame, so I'm really hoping it isn't integral. When I pull the handle, the cable doesn't seem to move, so I don't think the attachment is the issue.
Did I route the cable wrong? Should I try to shorten it somehow? Every forum everywhere (including here) insists that the 99 Si cables work every time but I can't get my parking brake to work!
The cables are part no 47510-S04-932 & 47560-S04-932
Any help is appreciated!

Re: disc swap ebrake STRUGGLE
I thought there would be a difference between the coupe and sedan, but according to the parts numbers for the drum p-brake cables, there isn't.
I've got a 92 Civic and when I did my conversion I had to loosen all the adjustments to their limits just to get everything to connect up. Now that's been a year I need to tighten up the adjustment as the cables have stretched.
It does sound like it could be a routing problem.

Re: disc swap ebrake STRUGGLE
I just did a rear disc conversion over the past weekend, from what I've read the 99-00 Civic Si ebrake cables are the best fit. So this takes me by surprise.
I used the ebrake cable from the 1997 Integra Sedan that came with the TA and was struggle to get it in but it works fine. So my advise:
Make sure you know which cable is right and left - I noticed the right cable was a little thicker because it routed near the exhaust pipe. You can tell from the part number too.
Dont fasten any brackets to the frame or trailing arm (if you did, undo them) until the ebrake is all securely fastened and adjusted, then go back and fasten the other brackets.
The ebrake cables have a special route above and around the gas tank and a bracket that holds the gas tank on both sides. (again my car is a 1998 Civic EX, not sure on LX)
My EX has a heat shield just below where the cables enter the cabin, 3 - 10 mm bolts, remove that so you have room to see.
I remember seeing a good pic online of what it looks like with the gas tank remove, if I find this again, I'll post here.
