dirt on top of valves lol need help
So I bought a b16 and just pulled the b18 I had in it so naturally I purchased new parts for the b16 one of which was a valve cover gasket. So I removed the valve cover to replace the gasket since I didn't install the motor yet when my husky being the nosey girl she is put her paws full of dirt on top of the open head during the moment I was putting the gasket on the valve cover so I used a slim vaccuum to clean out as much as I could visually see but my question was Will ne possible smaller portions damage any internals and if so how would I have to clean it ? Would I need to take out the head and just use a blower to get the debris out and vacuum out each valve and spring ? So far I've cleaned out pretty much all that I can see but I don't want to fu..... Ne thing up if I don't check each and every valve by taking it apart ne insight would be appreciated

you should be fine the strainer on the pickup and oil filter should pick up the contaminates before it gets sum where to damage the motor

if you choose to you can or just change it as usual on your next routine oil change. the filter will hold the dirt in it and will not be recirculated through out the motor.
