Dilemma in clutches. Need assistance!!
understand that stock b16a clutch is from exedy. Im really confuse with stage 1 racing clutch which comes with flywheel. What is the difference between oem clutch, stage 1 clutch (flywheel) and heavy duty clutch?WHich is d best i only wan somethin for street that last, no side effects. Is oem clutch actually lasting cos its exedy too?
Im not so much of a racer, i only wan performance stuff in my which lasts. My mods r light. Type r cams, HKS filter, exhaust, spoon ecu wit vtec controller. Which do you all recommend?
Also Y is it a must to change out OEM flywheel, its that any side effects to this, for example inbalance of the crank?
Help me elaborate more on clutches. Thx

Re: Dilemma in clutches. Need assistance!! (alexthegrinch)
if you get stage one , im sure it'll be fine. Beware if you are gonna get one from ebay tho, like those brand xtr, xtd..etc. They might not live up to your standard. if your gonna just have a bit of performance, get another exedy clutch stage 1 or 2 will be good. its not a must to change out to a new flywheel, but you will need to resurface it. if you dont you will get chatter, and you will burn out your new clutch. You can just get another flywheel from ebay, one of those 12lbs, or 8lbs. having a lighter flywheel will make your car accelerate a bit faster than it was before. If you decide to use your stock one and get it resurface, im sure you still feel a difference. I bought an Exedy clutch stage two 4 puck clutch and an 8lbs flywheel from xtd. It was pretty good, grabs good and waay better acceleration than to what im use to..thats my experience hope this helps
