Difference in tachomter in gauge clusters
Quick question. I noticed that some EX gauge clusters had a redline 6500 while my tach had a redline of 7200. whats the difference? where did mine come from? Oh by the way, its an automatic gauge cluster.

Re: Difference in tachomter in gauge clusters (keemosaki)
Ahhh nevermind. You HT people to slow...
in 1995 honda civic EX's changed their tachs to 7200 redline instead of the usual 6500.
was there any difference in performance of the engines?

Yes, the D16z6 from 92-95 had a better flowing head.
The D16Y8 has a lower redline, but 2 more tq/hp due to compression.
